Schneider Elementary
Meet your counselor

Mrs. Kristi Coy
I graduated with my Masters in Professional School Counseling from Bradley University. I feel motivated to make each student feel welcomed and understood. My mission is to help my students recognize their full potential, and to help break down any barriers that stand between them and accomplishing their goals. I will strive for each student to understand their unique qualities and embrace and love themselves fully. If your child is having any problems at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out, I am here to help.
I am available at Schneider Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
I am available at the High School Wednesdays and Fridays

Types of counseling:
- Small Psycho-educational Groups
These are groups that center on a specific topic and serve to teach the child a new skill.
Some topics include: social skills, friendship, manners, bullying, following directions, physical aggression, and more.
-Individual Sessions
These are one on one sessions either initated by the student, a parent, or other faculty member.
one-on-one sessions really allow the child to open up about a difficult situation they may be facing.
-Classroom Guidance Lessons
These are structured classroom lessons that occur for 25 minutes each week.
The goal is to teach different skills in order for the child to be successful in and outside of school.
You can check out these topics below in the weekly newsletters.
